WGCD hosted a first ever, Soil Moisture Sensor Workshop at Island Groove for local landowners. Farmers and anyone curious about soil moisture sensors were encouraged to come join the fun. Speakers from Colorado State University, USDA Agricultural Research Service, Hortau, Irrometer and 4-Rivers came and provided valuable sensor education. The basic information and incorporation of soil moisture sensors was discussed as well as the science behind it. Sensor selection was also covered to help guide landowners to an appropriate monitoring system. Thank you to the workshop speakers and the workshop participants.
