The West Greeley Conservation District Education Team joined the Weld County Fair Education Committee sharing time with children 5-12 years old attending the Fair with their families.

Tuesday, July 27th all activities centered around learning about Honeybees and the importance of the pollination process that provides one-third of the food we eat. The kids got take-home activity bags full of educational materials about pollinators assembled by Greeley West High School.

Wednesday, July 28th WGCD brought out our educational Riparian Water Trailer for the youth to enjoy in the hundred-degree heat. They designed rural and urban scenes creating lakes, rivers and ditches flowing through the buildings, toy farm equipment and livestock props they used. We discussed water conservation, watersheds and how the water cycle works.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
